Kadhai Paneer (purely my version)

Everyone likes good, spicy n rich food. Often I’ve met people who think that food will become delicious if you put some extra spices or extra oil or ghee. But that’s not true always. Sometimes more spices n extra oil overpowered the original taste of the recipe n one can’t eat that spicy food daily.
So as I mentioned earlier about my experimental recipes with 1tbsp oil I’m presenting my first recipe of the series.

Ingredients:

Paneer (cottage cheese) - 200 gms(sliced into rectangular pieces) soak into warm water to make it softer.

Onion - 1 (sliced into rectangular pieces)

Tomato – 1medium (sliced into rectangular pieces)

Capsicum- 1 medium (sliced into rectangular pieces)

Ginger – 2inch finely sliced (optional)

Cumin seeds- ½ tsp

Turmeric powder – ½ tsp

Coriander powder – ½ tsp

Red chilli powder – ½ tsp (optional)

Garam masala powder- ½ tsp

Salt - To taste

Oil – 1tbsp

Method:

1. Heat 1tbsp oil in a non-stick frying pan n add cumin seeds.

2. Put onions and sauté them till golden brown (remember cook on low or medium heat)

3. Add tomato & capsicum n sauté them also.

4. Put turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, and sliced ginger and salt. Cook it for another 2-3 minutes.

5. Put paneer into it n mix it well with the spices. Turn off the heat within a minute of adding paneer to keep it soft.

Garnish it with green coriander or parsley n it is ready to serve.
