" Veg Kebabs "

On 15th of August we celebrated our 67th Independence Day. Last year we baked the Tri-colour cake. It was an experiment which was a huge success. This time I wanted to make something different, healthy and tasty too. As I’ve noticed that when things are healthy they are almost tasteless but in this recipe you won’t regret once. So get ready for veg kebabs. I’ve used beans and capsicum but one can use any vegetable into it.

Ingredients

Boiled Potatoes – 4 medium sized

Beans – 50 gms

Capsicum – 50 gms

Besan – ½ cup

Oil – 1to 2 tbsp

Salt - as per taste

Chilli powder - as per taste

Garam masala – 1 pinch

Long skewers – soaked in water

Method

1. Put chopped beans and capsicum in boiling hot water for 4-5 minutes and then give them a nice ice bath.

2. Now in a heavy bottomed pan dry roast the besan. Let it brown but avoid burning. Keep it aside.

3. Now in a pan heat oil and add turmeric powder, add boiled potatoes and mash them.

4. Now add beans and capsicum. Mix roasted besan. Add salt and and chilli powder and           garam masala.

5. Now its time to put them on skewers and either bake it in oven or grill it on charcoal grill.

They are ready to gulp down with mint chutney .

Enjoy!
